Welcome to My Piano Blog!
Sharing my love of piano with you
About this Blog
It is my goal for this blog to become a series of interesting, helpful and entertaining postings on piano related topics. Along with this blog, I am challenging myself to do a weekly (or at least biweekly) YouTube video posting of me playing the piano, performing something of my own creation (including improvisations, original compositions and arrangements) or performing a piece by another composer of piano music. Therefore, many of the postings will contain embedded videos of (along with commentary about) these pieces I perform.
Other topics will include tips on piano technique, how to learn or teach the piano more effectively, ideas for improvisation, reflections on piano music and piano playing, and any of a variety of thoughts that might spark my (and hopefully your) musical imagination.
I would love to hear from you!
… So please, use the reply buttons to post your thoughts and (constructive) feedback, along with your own suggestions for what you might like to see/hear/read in this blog. And finally, if you enjoy this blog or find it useful, share it with a friend!

Listen to My Improvisational Sketches for Piano & Cello
This past spring, I created a series of improvisational sketches for piano and cello (some of which morphed into full-fledged compositions). On May 15, 2016, at Classic Pianos Denver, my talented cellist friend Jonathan Herring and I enjoyed performing these five...
